08598 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed and turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
08598 Possible Causes:
08598 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08598 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
