The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake data-bus powertrain, implausible message from transmission controller you can see the data-bus powertrain, implausible message from engine controller will delay your vw fault. |
08588 Possible Causes:
08588 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08588 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
