This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic pump for overdrive / low range (v190), electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit . So for next cylinder 7 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
08551 Possible Causes:
08551 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 08551 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
