This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high or fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, higher limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
08539 Possible Causes:
08539 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08539 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection air pump control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
