08499 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel injection valve 1 (n366), open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition coil 'g' primary control, circuit low also intake air heater "a", circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
08499 Possible Causes:
08499 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08499 Code
- Inspect all the connections butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), of mechanical errors
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
