08497 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine wheel speed signal 1, range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit and wait then throttle actuator control module, internal circuit is the final reason of the code. |
08497 Possible Causes:
08497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08497 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
