Diameter in engine fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor please check dtc memory of transmission ecu also injection pump timing offset is the final reason of the code. |
08497 Possible Causes:
08497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08497 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), regulation range exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
