The problem is about ignition coil 'i' primary control, short to plus mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance or change control module defective will delay your vw fault. |
08496 Possible Causes:
08496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 08496 Code
- Inspect all the connections vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
