This code were stamped on VW Engine case pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor fuel injection valve 1 (n366), open circuit you can see the fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
08496 Possible Causes:
08496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 08496 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, rich control limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
