The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault particulate trap bank 1, efficiency below threshold run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed activation starter relay 2, short to ground or change fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
08491 Possible Causes:
08491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 08491 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
