This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit intermittent / erratic to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off also engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |
08489 Possible Causes:
08489 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08489 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
