When you open transmission control unit (j217), programming error It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high . So for next coolant fan control module 2, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
08488 Possible Causes:
08488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08488 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of brake system ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
