08484 Description And Summary : |

When you open friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 1 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal high or ng high pressure valve (n372), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
08484 Possible Causes:
08484 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08484 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
