Diagnosing engine bar with accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too high to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu you can see the injector cylinder 16 (n393), circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
08470 Possible Causes:
08470 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08470 Code
- Inspect all the connections manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
