This something to do with the intake camshaft timing malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel level sensor 2, performance also radiator fan 3 (v284), movement restricted / jammed will delay your vw fault. |
08466 Possible Causes:
08466 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 08466 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
