08449 Possible Causes:
08449 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 08449 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
