08438 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ecm/pcm power input, signal intermittent also fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
08438 Possible Causes:
08438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 08438 Code
- Inspect all the connections internal control module, driver error
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
