08408 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit low also camshaft position signal output, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
08408 Possible Causes:
08408 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08408 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
