Staring in engine tiptronic switch recognition, circuit short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit achievement too small and wait then fuel injection valve 4 (n369), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
08404 Possible Causes:
08404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input

What To Check After Fixing 08404 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
