08404 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high and starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) is the final reason of the code. |
08404 Possible Causes:
08404 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance

- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 08404 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle actuator control system, ice blockage
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
