This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, tension too largely It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake ignition coil cylinder 15, open circuit . On the other hand malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
08402 Possible Causes:
08402 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 08402 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
