08402 Description And Summary : |

When you open glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ or change fuel pressure regulator valve (n276), mechanical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
08402 Possible Causes:
08402 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08402 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 1, higher limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
