08401 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine bank 2, system too lean at idle to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so data bus powertrain, missing message from immobilizer . On the other hand exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit of electrical errors is the final reason of the code. |
08401 Possible Causes:
08401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08401 Code
- Inspect all the connections charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
