084 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit high to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off and pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
084 Possible Causes:
084 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 084 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2, compensation wire pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
