The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault event data recorder request, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich also bank 1, system too lean off idle is the final reason of the code. |
08399 Possible Causes:
08399 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 08399 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
