This code were stamped on VW Engine case fuel injection valve 1 (n366), open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 2) or change nox sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
08398 Possible Causes:
08398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08398 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
