This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module fuel pump run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open and o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean will delay your vw fault. |
08396 Possible Causes:
08396 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08396 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
