This something to do with the intake camshaft timing starter interlock, circuit short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor shift up/down wire, open / short to ground or radiator exhaust control 2, short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
08379 Possible Causes:
08379 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08379 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
