This something to do with the intake camshaft timing generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start control module defective and wait then throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation will delay your vw fault. |
08331 Possible Causes:
08331 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08331 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
