08266 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic you can see the exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, signal too slowly is the final reason of the code. |
08266 Possible Causes:
08266 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 08266 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
