08228 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about engine temperature too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3, probe 1 electrical error in the electric circuit . So for next throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', minimum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
08228 Possible Causes:
08228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 08228 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
