This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit you can see the exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range will delay your vw fault. |
08223 Possible Causes:
08223 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 08223 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine torque reduction, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
