The problem is about relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed control module 1 for cooling fan, excess temperature and direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
08220 Possible Causes:
08220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08220 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
