The problem is about o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 2 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded or load signal stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
08218 Possible Causes:
08218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08218 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module defective
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
