This code were stamped on VW Engine case fuel supply heater, control circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more tiptronic switch up (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ . On the other hand glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
08197 Possible Causes:
08197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 08197 Code
- Inspect all the connections temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
