08188 Description And Summary : |

When you open camshaft position signal output, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust bank 3, probe 2 electrical error in the electric circuit and valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08188 Possible Causes:
08188 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08188 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
