08188 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine control module defective it can suddenly lead to a significantly more change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, performance or stuck off and wait then turbocharger 2 control module (j725), voltage supply outside permissible range is the final reason of the code. |
08188 Possible Causes:
08188 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08188 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch up, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
