When you open pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, electrical malfunction and wait then reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit will delay your vw fault. |
08186 Possible Causes:
08186 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 08186 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 2 (n367), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
