This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, high air flow detected retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle actuator control system, sudden low air flow detected or exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, open is the final reason of the code. |
08185 Possible Causes:
08185 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08185 Code
- Inspect all the connections post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
