08182 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner control, lower stop not reached retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) and immobilizer query not yet performed will delay your vw fault. |
08182 Possible Causes:
08182 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08182 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
