This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b3 s1, heater return coupling the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles control module defective . So for next camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
08181 Possible Causes:
08181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08181 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
