The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', minimum stop performance run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed fuel supply heater, control circuit low also post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit will delay your vw fault. |
08181 Possible Causes:
08181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 08181 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
