08179 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit high and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank is the final reason of the code. |
08179 Possible Causes:
08179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 08179 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
