Diagnosing engine bar with engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high also exhaust pressure sensor is the final reason of the code. |
08174 Possible Causes:
08174 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 08174 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, lower limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
