Diagnosing engine bar with cylinder 5 above knock threshold run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed please check dtc memory of steering angle sensor you can see the fuel injection valve 2 (n367), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
08173 Possible Causes:
08173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08173 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition switch accessory position, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
