The problem is about throttle actuator control motor, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake manifold runner bank 1 control, basic setting aborted mechanical limit closed also post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit will delay your vw fault. |
08172 Possible Causes:
08172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 08172 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
