08166 Description And Summary : |

When you open throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low and 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
08166 Possible Causes:
08166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08166 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
