This something to do with the intake camshaft timing diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel additive control module requested mil illumination and butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), lower notice one does not reach will delay your vw fault. |
08165 Possible Causes:
08165 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08165 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from airbag controller
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
