Accumulated in electronic control units so valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system steering angle signal, error message from steering angle sensor or change fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, higher limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
08158 Possible Causes:
08158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses

What To Check After Fixing 08158 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
