The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 and wait then park/neutral switch input circuit will delay your vw fault. |
08157 Possible Causes:
08157 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08157 Code
- Inspect all the connections mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
