08156 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after pluses retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner control, circuit high bank 1 or change vehicle speed sensor 'b', intermittent / erratic / high is the final reason of the code. |
08156 Possible Causes:
08156 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08156 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
