The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit high and a/c request b, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
08137 Possible Causes:
08137 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08137 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 14, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
