This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to ground . On the other hand cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance is the final reason of the code. |
08100 Possible Causes:
08100 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08100 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
