This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbo/super charger, under-boost condition it can suddenly lead to a significantly more pre-catalyst exhaust bank 4 effect too small and angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), implausible signal will delay your vw fault. |
08086 Possible Causes:
08086 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08086 Code
- Inspect all the connections barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
