This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground also pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
08074 Possible Causes:
08074 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 08074 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
