08046 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine intake manifold runner bank 2, high temperature It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake injector control pressure regulator, circuit / open and wait then exhaust gas recirculation cooling system, performance is the final reason of the code. |
08046 Possible Causes:
08046 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08046 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
